We are Retiring!

Now that we have both reached ‘that age’, the nursery will be closing on 31st December 23, after 25 years of growing and supplying plants to many lovely customers!

We look forward to taking it easier and caring for our large garden at leisure.

Thanks to all who have supported us since 1998, our very best wishes, Hilary & Graeme

Mail Order Update

We’ve been experiencing a high volume of mail orders lately, many of which are in the £10 carriage charge band. These parcels have to be taken to our rural Post Office, and we find ourselves having to visit several times per week to keep up with the backlog, something we shouldn’t be doing so often, during lockdown.

We regret, therefore, that for the time being, we will only be able to fulfil orders that can be collected from the nursery by courier. Minimum charge by courier is £15.00.

This covers from 12-30 x 9cm plants (boxes need to be this size min.) and is a Next Day service, which is important as temperature rises.

Please contact us for a competitive carriage price for larger orders. Once again, we regret having to take this action, and we thank you for your valued support and understanding. Happy Easter, stay well, everyone.

Plants below, back l-r : Aubrieta “Kitte Blue”, Anemone x lipsiensis, middle – Caltha palustris “Multiplex”, Saxifraga “Pixie Red”, front – Geum triflorum campanulatum, Ranunculus ficaria “Double Cream”

The Beechgrove Garden

We had a nice visit from The Beechgrove Garden at the beginning of May and Carole Baxter had a chat with Graeme about his Auricula hybridisation.

It aired on Episode 7, on the 14th May 2015, we’re just after 20 minutes in.

Here’s the link on iPlayer.
